This is a photo of one of two quilts put together for Childhood Stroke Awareness by Jackie Haley.  Jackie has been a volunteer for the Children's Hemiplegia and Stroke Association, CHASA, for a number of years.  Her daughter, Jennifer, has hemiplegia and has been an inspiration to a number of our families.

The squares on this quilt were designed by children who attended the CHASA 2002 retreat in Hershey, PA.  We'll have additional photos of the quilt and each individual square and will let you know when these are on the website.

The quilts have traveled and will travel to various locations across the nation.  Jackie has volunteered to coordinate plans to have the quilts hanging at various CHASA events and children's hospitals around the nation.

We are very grateful to Jackie, Jackie's mother, Kathleen Born and other generous souls who wish to remain anonymous for their wonderful work on this project.  Their efforts will help increase awareness of stroke and hemiplegia in children.

Contact the Children's Hemiplegia and Stroke Association at info437@chasa.org if you are interested in coordinating a quilt display in your city.
